Following the first two less-than-focused full-length International Colouring Contest offerings "Floating on the Doorway" and "The Camera Nearly Lost its Mind" in 2002, "Friends Again" was, at the time it was released, the most accessible ICC album to date.

Coming on the heals of the "21 Best" and "Vacillating Oscillator" compilation albums, "Friends Again" featured numerous stream-of-consciousness meditations, jangly drone pop and electronica duets between Blake Cormier and Tommy Garcia.
